[561] Questioned by him, Mātali the deva charioteer answered; knowing, he declared the result (vipāka) of evil deeds to one who did not know: "Those who, in the world of the living, slay their mother or their father, or slay arahants, are defeated ones (pārājikā); they, of cruel deeds, having engendered evil — these are the people who feed on blood and pus."
