[270] **"They do not declare purity in any other teachings" (nāññesu dhammesu visuddhimāhu)** means: setting aside their own teacher, [their own] exposition of the doctrine (dhammakkhāna), group, view, practice, and path, they cast off, throw out, and cast aside all the doctrines of others (paravāda), [saying]: "That teacher is not omniscient (sabbaññū); the doctrine is not well proclaimed (svākkhāta); the group is not practicing well (supaṭipanna); the view is not excellent; the practice is not well laid down; the path is not emancipating (niyyānika). There is here no purity (suddhi), no superior purity (visuddhi), no complete purity (parisuddhi); no release (mutti), no liberation (vimutti), no complete release (parimutti). Therein they are not purified, not superiorly purified, not completely purified; they are not released, not liberated, not completely released; they are inferior, low, deficient, base, vile, and limited." Thus they said, thus they speak, thus they utter, thus they explain, thus they express. Hence, "they do not declare purity in any other teachings."
