[299] **"Whatever"** means: whoever, that is, one of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhunī"** means … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this context. **"A high seat (āsandi)"** is what is called one exceeding the proper measure. **"A couch (pallaṅka)"** is one made with animal hair brought in (āharimehi vālehi). **"Should use"** means: she sits down upon it or lies down upon it — an offense (āpatti) of pācittiya.
