[461] "Whatever" (yā pana) means: whoever, of whatever sort … "Bhikkhunī" means: … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this context. "Scent" (gandho) means: any scent whatsoever. "Cosmetic" (vaṇṇakaṃ) means: any cosmetic whatsoever. "Should bathe" means: she bathes; in the act (of bathing) there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); at the conclusion of the bath, an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya).
