[491] **"Whoever":** whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhunī":** … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this context.
**"Not sick"** means: one for whom there is comfort without curds. **"Sick"** means: one for whom there is no comfort without curds.
**"Oil"** means: sesame oil, mustard-seed oil, oil of the madhuka tree, castor oil, or oil from animal fat. **"Honey"** means: honey of bees. **"Molasses"** means: that produced from sugarcane. **"Fish"** means: what is called a water-dweller. **"Meat"** means: the meat of those animals whose meat is allowable. **"Milk"** means: cow's milk, goat's milk, or buffalo's milk — the milk of those animals whose meat is allowable. **"Curds"** means: the curds of those very same animals.
If she is not sick and asks for it for her own sake, there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa) in the effort; if she accepts it, thinking, "On obtaining it I shall eat it," there is an offense of wrong-doing. For every mouthful swallowed, there is an offense to be acknowledged (pāṭidesanīya).
