[151] **"Whatever"** (yā panā) means: whoever, of whatever sort … . **"Bhikkhunī"** means: … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense. **"Garlic" (lasuṇa)** refers to what is called Māgadhika (the garlic of Magadha). She accepts it, thinking, "I shall eat it": an offense of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa). For every mouthful swallowed, an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya).
