[92] Revered ladies, the seventeen saṅghādisesa rules have been recited — nine entailing an offense at the first act (paṭhamāpattikā), eight entailing an offense only after the third admonition (yāvatatiyakā). Whichever one or another of these a bhikkhunī commits, that bhikkhunī must observe the half-month mānatta (pakkhamānatta) before both Saṅghas. When the bhikkhunī has completed the mānatta, wherever there is a bhikkhunī Saṅgha of a group of twenty, there that bhikkhunī is to be rehabilitated. If a bhikkhunī Saṅgha of a group of twenty, deficient even by one, should rehabilitate that bhikkhunī, that bhikkhunī is not rehabilitated, and those bhikkhunīs are blameworthy. This is the proper procedure herein.
Concerning these, I ask the revered ladies: Are you pure in this matter? A second time I ask: Are you pure in this matter? A third time I ask: Are you pure in this matter? The revered ladies are pure in this matter; therefore they are silent. Thus do I hold it.
