[231] **"Having known which, one wanders mindful"** (*yaṃ viditvā sato caranti*): having made known, having weighed, having scrutinized, having made clear, and having made evident that "all conditioned things (saṅkhārā) are impermanent" … having made known, having weighed, having scrutinized, having made clear, and having made evident that "whatever is subject to origin, all that is subject to cessation."
**"Mindful"** (*sato*): one is mindful (sati) for four reasons: developing the establishment of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) of contemplating the body in the body, one is mindful … he is called mindful.
**"Wanders"** (*caraṃ*): wandering, roaming about, moving in the postures (iriyāpatha), carrying on, guarding, keeping going, sustaining — thus: "having known which, one wanders mindful."
