[319] **"I delight in that word of the Great Seer" (etābhinandāmi vaco mahesino):** "That" (etaṃ) — I rejoice in, delight in, am gladdened by, rejoice along with, wish for, accept, aspire to, long for, and yearn after your word, your way of speech, your teaching, its sequence of meaning (anusandhi).
**"Of the Great Seer" (mahesino):** [1] the Blessed One is the Great Seer (mahesī). He sought, searched for, quested after the great aggregate (khandha) of virtue (sīla) — thus he is the Great Seer … "Where is the god of gods? Where is the bull of men?" — thus he is the Great Seer. Hence, "I delight in that word of the Great Seer."
