[406] **Let there be no impediment for you afterwards** (pacchā te māhu kiñcanaṃ): "afterwards" is said of the future impediment (kiñcana). On account of future volitional formations (saṅkhārā) [there would be] the impediment of lust (rāga), the impediment of hatred, the impediment of delusion, the impediment of conceit (māna), the impediment of views (diṭṭhi), the impediment of defilements (kilesa), the impediment of misconduct (duccarita). Let this impediment not be for you, let it not have been; do not produce it, do not generate it, do not bring it into being; abandon it, dispel it, make an end of it, bring it to non-existence — thus, "let there be no impediment for you afterwards."
