[611] **To be seen for oneself, not delayed** (*sandiṭṭhikam akālikaṃ*): it is to be seen for oneself (sandiṭṭhika), not delayed (akālika), inviting one to come and see (ehipassika), worthy of application (opanayika), to be personally experienced by the wise (paccattaṃ veditabbaṃ viññūhi) — thus it is "to be seen for oneself, not delayed."
Or else: whoever develops the noble eightfold path (magga) in this very life attains, finds, obtains the fruit immediately, without interval, in consequence of that path — thus too it is "to be seen for oneself, not delayed."
[3] Just as people, having given out wealth subject to a term (kālikaṃ dhanaṃ), do not receive it back immediately but must await the appointed time — this Dhamma is not like that. Whoever develops the noble eightfold path in this very life attains, finds, obtains the fruit immediately, without interval, in consequence of that path — not elsewhere, not in another world. Thus it is "not delayed"; hence, "to be seen for oneself, not delayed."
