[621] **To be seen for oneself, not delayed (sandiṭṭhikam akālikaṃ)**: it is to be seen for oneself (sandiṭṭhika), not delayed (akālika), inviting one to come and see (ehipassika), worthy of inducing in one's own mind (opanayika), to be known individually by the wise (paccattaṃ veditabbaṃ viññūhi) — thus it is "to be seen for oneself, not delayed."
Or else: whoever develops the noble eightfold path (magga) in this very life attains, finds, and obtains the fruit of that path immediately, without interval — thus too it is "to be seen for oneself, not delayed."
Just as people, having given out wealth on time-terms, do not receive [the return] immediately but must await the [due] time — this Dhamma is not so. Whoever develops the noble eightfold path in this very life attains, finds, and obtains the fruit of that path immediately, without interval — not elsewhere, not in the other world. Thus it is "not delayed"; hence "to be seen for oneself, not delayed."
