[622] **Taṇhakkhayamanītikaṃ** (the destruction of craving, free from calamity): **Craving (taṇhā)** means craving for forms, craving for sounds, craving for odors, craving for tastes, craving for tangibles, craving for mental phenomena (dhammataṇhā). **The destruction of craving (taṇhakkhayaṃ)**: the destruction of craving, the destruction of lust (rāga), the destruction of hatred, the destruction of delusion, the destruction of destination (gati), the destruction of rearising (upapatti), the destruction of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), the destruction of existence (bhava), the destruction of saṃsāra, the destruction of the round (vaṭṭa). **Free from calamity (anītikaṃ)**: "calamity" (īti) is said of the defilements (kilesa), the **aggregates** (khandha), and volitional formations (abhisaṅkhārā).
