[612] **The destruction of craving, free from calamity (taṇhakkhayamanītikaṃ)**: "Craving (taṇhā)" is craving for forms, craving for sounds, craving for odors, craving for tastes, craving for tangibles, craving for dhammas. **The destruction of craving**: the destruction of craving, the destruction of lust (rāga), the destruction of hatred, the destruction of delusion, the destruction of destination (gati), the destruction of reappearance (upapatti), the destruction of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), the destruction of existence (bhava), the destruction of saṃsāra, the destruction of the round (vaṭṭa). **Free from calamity**: "calamity (īti)" is said of the defilements (kilesa), the aggregates, and the volitional formations (abhisaṅkhārā).
