[202] How is wisdom in the diversity of abidings (vihāra) knowledge (ñāṇa) of the meaning of abiding; wisdom in the diversity of attainments (samāpatti) knowledge of the meaning of attainment; wisdom in the diversity of abidings-and-attainments knowledge of the meaning of abiding-and-attainment?
One seeing the sign (nimitta) as a danger, through being resolved upon the signless (animitta), touching again and again, sees dissolution (vaya): this is the signless abiding. One seeing wish (paṇidhi) as a danger, through being resolved upon the wishless (appaṇihita), touching again and again, sees dissolution: this is the wishless abiding. One seeing adherence (abhinivesa) as a danger, through being resolved upon emptiness (suññata), touching again and again, sees dissolution: this is the empty abiding.
