[147] When the Blessed One Siddhattha — honored by the world, the receiver of oblations —
had attained final Nibbāna, there was a great festival of the stūpa.
While the festival for Siddhattha, the great seer, was going on,
I took an ummā flower and placed it upon the stūpa.
In the ninety-fourth aeon from now it was that I offered that flower;
I know of no bad destination: this is the fruit of the offering of flowers.¹
And in the ninth aeon from now there were eighty-five kings
bearing the name Somadeva, wheel-turning monarchs (cakkavatti) of great might.
The four analytical insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) too,
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Ummāpupphiya spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Ummāpupphiya is concluded.
