[248] With supreme self-taming (damatha)
I gave the gift of a bowl
to Siddhattha, the great seer (mahesī),
the upright one, the steadfast one (tādī).
In the ninety-fourth aeon from the present,
the gift that I gave then —
I know of no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of the gift of a bowl.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Pattadāyaka spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Pattadāyaka is concluded.
