[259] Having made a spray of flowers (mañjarikā), as I was going along the street,
I saw the foremost of ascetics, attended by the Saṅgha of bhikkhus.
With a mind (citta) full of confidence, glad at heart, and with supreme rapture (pīti),
raising it up with both hands, I offered it to the Buddha.
In the ninety-second aeon (kappa) from now, since I offered that flower,
I have known no bad destination: this is the fruit of the flower-offering.
In the seventy-third aeon from now I was one lord of the earth,
Jotiya by name, a wheel-turning monarch (cakkavatti) of great power.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Mañjaripūjaka Thera spoke these verses.
