[266] While I was a deva, having then descended to the earth,
confident, I presented five lamps with my own hands.
In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from now, since I gave the lamp then,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the gift of a lamp.
In the fifty-fifth aeon I was one lord of the earth,
Samantacakkhu by name, a wheel-turning monarch (cakkavatti) of great power.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Dīpadāyaka¹ spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Dīpadāyaka is concluded.
