"The Saṅgha of the Blessed One Vipassī
was honored and esteemed.
Misfortune had befallen me:
formerly there was a division among my kin.
Entering upon the going forth (pabbajjā)
for the stilling of that misfortune,
I delighted there for seven days,
out of longing for the Teacher's dispensation (sāsana).
In the ninety-first aeon from now,
since I then went forth,
I know of no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of the going forth.
In the sixty-seventh aeon from now
there were seven lords of the earth;
they are known by the name Sunekkhamma,
wheel-turning monarchs (cakkavattī) of great power.
The four analytical insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized:
the Buddha's dispensation has been fulfilled."
It was thus, indeed, that the Venerable Sattāhapabbajita the Elder spoke these verses.
