Shining like a kaṇikāra tree, seated in the midst of the mountains,
I saw the stainless Buddha, who had crossed over the flood, free of taints (āsava).
Having seen a tinduka tree bearing fruit, I broke it off together with its tip;
with a mind (citta) full of confidence, glad, I gave it to Vessabhū.
Ninety-one eons from now it was that I then gave that fruit;
I know of no bad destination — this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been carried out.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Tindukaphaladāyaka spoke these verses.
