[87] Formerly I made my dwelling on Mount Himavant;
clad in an antelope hide as my upper garment, I dwelt in the midst of the mountains.
Having seen the Fully Awakened One (sambuddha), of golden hue, shining like the hundred-rayed sun,
gone into the depths of the forest, like a royal sāla tree in full bloom,
having gladdened my mind (citta) at the radiance of Vipassī, the Great Seer,
raising my joined palms, squatting on my heels, I paid homage with my head.
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from now, the deed that I did then—
I know of no bad destination: this is the fruit of the perception of the radiance (raṃsisaññā).
The four analytical insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been carried out.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Elder Raṃsisaññaka speak these verses.
