[159] Which phenomena (dhammā) are wholesome?
On the occasion when one develops the path (magga) for rebirth in the form sphere (rūpūpapatti) and — with the abandoning of pleasure and … — enters and dwells in the fifth jhāna, [with] the earth kasiṇa (paṭhavīkasiṇa): on that occasion there is contact (phassa), there is feeling (vedanā), there is perception (saññā), there is volition (cetanā), there is mind (citta), there is equanimity (upekkhā), there is one-pointedness of mind (cittass'ekaggatā), there is the faith faculty (saddhindriya), there is the energy faculty (viriyindriya), there is the mindfulness faculty (satindriya), there is the concentration faculty (samādhindriya), there is the wisdom faculty (paññindriya), there is the mind faculty (manindriya), there is the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya), there is the life faculty (jīvitindriya), there is right view (sammādiṭṭhi), there is right effort (sammāvāyāma), … there is exertion (paggāha), there is non-distraction (avikkhepa); or whatever other immaterial phenomena, dependently arisen, there are on that occasion — these phenomena are wholesome. …
