[252] What on that occasion is clear comprehension (sampajañña)?
That which on that occasion is wisdom (paññā), the act of understanding (pajānanā), investigation (vicaya), thorough investigation (pavicaya), investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya), discernment (sallakkhaṇā), close discernment (upalakkhaṇā), precise discernment (paccupalakkhaṇā), erudition (paṇḍicca), proficiency (kosalla), subtlety (nepuñña), lucidity (vebhabyā), reflection (cintā), examination (upaparikkhā), breadth (bhūrī), sagacity (medhā), guidance (pariṇāyikā), insight (vipassanā), clear comprehension, the goad (patoda), wisdom, the faculty of wisdom (paññindriya), the power of wisdom (paññābala), the sword of wisdom (paññāsattha), the palace of wisdom (paññāpāsāda), the light of wisdom (paññā-āloka), the illumination of wisdom (paññā-obhāsa), the lamp of wisdom (paññā-pajjota), the jewel of wisdom (paññā-ratana), non-delusion (amoha), investigation of dhammas, right view (sammādiṭṭhi), the awakening factor of investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya-sambojjhaṅga), a factor of the path (maggaṅga), included in the path (magga) — this on that occasion is clear comprehension.
