[70] What, on that occasion, is insight (vipassanā)?
That which, on that occasion, is wisdom (paññā), the act of understanding (pajānanā), investigation (vicaya), close investigation (pavicaya), investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya), discernment (sallakkhaṇā), close discernment (upalakkhaṇā), specific discernment (paccupalakkhaṇā), erudition (paṇḍicca), proficiency (kosalla), subtlety (nepuñña), lucidity (vebhabyā), reflection (cintā), examination (upaparikkhā), breadth (bhūrī), sagacity (medhā), guidance (pariṇāyikā), insight, clear comprehension (sampajañña), the goad (patoda); wisdom, the faculty of wisdom (paññindriya), the power of wisdom (paññābala), wisdom as a sword (paññāsattha), wisdom as a palace (paññāpāsāda), wisdom as light (paññā-āloka), wisdom as radiance (paññā-obhāsa), wisdom as a lamp (paññā-pajjota), wisdom as a gem (paññā-ratana); non-delusion (amoha), investigation of dhammas, right view (sammādiṭṭhi) — this, on that occasion, is insight.
