[274] What on that occasion is the faculty of perfect knowledge (aññindriya)?
That which on that occasion, for the realization of those phenomena (dhammā) that have been known, seen, attained, understood, and realized, is wisdom, the act of understanding, investigation, thorough investigation, investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya), discernment, close discernment, specific discernment, erudition, proficiency, subtlety, lucidity, reflection, close examination, breadth, sagacity, guidance, insight (vipassanā), clear comprehension (sampajañña), the goad; wisdom, the faculty of wisdom (paññindriya), the power of wisdom, the sword of wisdom, the palace of wisdom, the light of wisdom, the radiance of wisdom, the lamp of wisdom, the gem of wisdom; non-delusion, investigation of dhammas, right view, the investigation-of-dhammas factor of awakening (dhammavicaya-sambojjhaṅga), a factor of the path, included in the path — this on that occasion is the faculty of perfect knowledge. … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) … Or whatever other conditionally arisen immaterial phenomena there are on that occasion — these phenomena are wholesome.
