[343] What on that occasion is mind (citta)? That which on that occasion is mind, mentality (mano), mentation (mānasa), heart (hadaya), the lucid (paṇḍara), mentality, mind base (manāyatana), mind faculty (manindriya), consciousness (viññāṇa), the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha), the corresponding eye-consciousness element (tajjā cakkhuviññāṇadhātu) — this on that occasion is mind.
