[370] What on that occasion is volition (cetanā)? That volition, intending, state of intending (cetanā sañcetanā sañcetayitattaṃ) which on that occasion is born of contact of the corresponding mind-element (tajjā-manodhātu-samphassa-jā) — this is the volition there is on that occasion.
