On the occasion when one develops the supramundane (lokuttara) path (magga) … develops the supramundane establishment of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) … develops the supramundane right exertion (sammappadhāna) … develops the supramundane basis of success (iddhipāda) … develops the supramundane faculty (indriya) … develops the supramundane power (bala) … develops the supramundane factor of awakening (bojjhaṅga) … develops the supramundane truth (sacca) … develops the supramundane serenity (samatha) … develops the supramundane dhamma … develops the supramundane aggregate (khandha) … develops the supramundane sense base (āyatana) … develops the supramundane element (dhātu) … develops the supramundane nutriment (āhāra) … develops the supramundane contact (phassa) … develops the supramundane feeling (vedanā) … develops the supramundane perception (saññā) … develops the supramundane volition (cetanā) … develops the supramundane mind (citta) — which leads out [of the round] and tends to the dispersal [of the round], for the abandonment of [wrong] views (diṭṭhigata), for the attainment of the first stage (bhūmi) — and, quite secluded from sensual pleasures, … attains and dwells in the first jhāna, of painful progress and sluggish direct knowledge (dukkhāpaṭipadaṃ dandhābhiññaṃ): on that occasion there is contact … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) … These phenomena are wholesome.
