[825] Which phenomena (dhammā) are accompanied by rapture (pītisahagatā)? In the plane of rapture (pītibhūmi), in the sense-sphere (kāmāvacara), in the form-sphere (rūpāvacara), in the unincluded (apariyāpanna) — setting aside rapture (pīti), the aggregate of feeling (vedanākkhandha) associated therewith … the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha): these phenomena are accompanied by rapture.
Which phenomena are not accompanied by rapture? In the plane without rapture (na-pītibhūmi), in the sense-sphere, in the form-sphere, in the formless-sphere (arūpāvacara), in the unincluded — the aggregate of feeling … the aggregate of consciousness; and rapture, and all form (rūpa), and the unconditioned element (asaṅkhatā dhātu): these phenomena are not accompanied by rapture.
