Nikkhepakaṇḍa

[864] Therein, what is forgetfulness (muṭṭhasacca)? That which is absence of mindfulness (asati), non-recollection, non-remembrance, absence of mindfulness, non-remembering, non-retention, superficiality, obliviousness — this is called forgetfulness. Therein, what is lack of clear comprehension (asampajañña)? That which is lack of knowledge (aññāṇa), non-seeing … the bolt of ignorance (avijjā), delusion, the unwholesome root — this is called lack of clear comprehension.
