[110] Ten sense bases (āyatana) are without an object (anārammaṇa); the mind base (manāyatana) has an object (sārammaṇa); the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) may have an object, may be without an object. The mind base is mind (citta); eleven sense bases are not mind. Eleven sense bases are not mental factors (acetasika); the dhamma base may be a mental factor (cetasika), may not be a mental factor. Ten sense bases are dissociated from mind (citta-vippayutta); the dhamma base may be associated with mind (citta-sampayutta), may be dissociated from mind; the mind base should not be said to be either associated with mind or dissociated from mind. Ten sense bases are unconjoined with mind (citta-visaṃsaṭṭha); the dhamma base may be conjoined with mind (citta-saṃsaṭṭha), may be unconjoined with mind; the mind base should not be said to be either conjoined with mind or unconjoined with mind. Six sense bases are not originated by mind (citta-samuṭṭhāna); six sense bases may be originated by mind, may not be originated by mind. Eleven sense bases are not co-existent with mind (citta-sahabhū); the dhamma base may be co-existent with mind, may not be co-existent with mind. Eleven sense bases do not follow along with mind (cittānuparivatti); the dhamma base may follow along with mind, may not follow along with mind. Eleven sense bases are not conjoined with mind and originated by mind (citta-saṃsaṭṭha-samuṭṭhāna); the dhamma base may be conjoined with mind and originated by mind, may not be conjoined with mind and originated by mind. Eleven sense bases are not conjoined with mind, originated by mind, and co-existent with mind (citta-saṃsaṭṭha-samuṭṭhāna-sahabhū); the dhamma base may be conjoined with mind, originated by mind, and co-existent with mind, may not be conjoined with mind, originated by mind, and co-existent with mind.
