[210] Therein, what is the origin of suffering (dukkhasamudaya)? Craving (taṇhā), and the remaining defilements (kilesa), and the remaining unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā), and the three wholesome roots (kusalamūla) that are subject to taints (sāsava), and the remaining wholesome phenomena subject to taints — this is called the origin of suffering.
