[304] "Thus is the origin (samudaya) of this whole mass of suffering (dukkhakkhandha)": thus of this whole mass of suffering there is coming together (saṅgati), there is meeting (samāgama), there is combination (samodhāna), there is manifestation (pātubhāva). Therefore it is said: "Thus is the origin of this whole mass of suffering."
