[303] Therein, what is aging-and-death with birth as condition? There is aging; there is death.
Therein, what is aging? That which is the aging of those phenomena (dhammā), their decrepitude, the dwindling of life-span — this is called aging.
Therein, what is death? That which is the destruction of those phenomena, their passing away, their breaking up, their disintegration, their impermanence, their disappearance — this is called death.
Thus this aging and this death — this is called aging-and-death with birth as condition.
