[340] "Thus there is the origin (samudaya) of this whole mass of suffering (dukkhakkhandha)": thus there is the coming together (saṅgati) of this whole mass of suffering, there is the meeting (samāgama), there is the combination (samodhāna), there is the appearance (pātubhāva). Therefore it is said: "Thus there is the origin of this whole mass of suffering."
