[50] The aggregate of feeling (vedanākkhandha) is sevenfold: there is that which is wholesome (kusala); there is that which is unwholesome (akusala); there is that which is indeterminate (abyākata); there is that which pertains to the sense sphere (kāmāvacara); there is that which pertains to the form sphere (rūpāvacara); there is that which pertains to the formless sphere (arūpāvacara); there is that which is unincluded (apariyāpanna). Thus the aggregate of feeling is sevenfold.
In yet another way, the aggregate of feeling is sevenfold: there is that which is resultant (vipāka); there is that which is of the nature to produce results (vipākadhammadhamma); there is that which is neither resultant nor of the nature to produce results (nevavipākanavipākadhammadhamma); … there is that which has an internal object (ajjhattārammaṇa); there is that which has an external object (bahiddhārammaṇa); there is that which has both an internal and an external object (ajjhattabahiddhārammaṇa); there is that which pertains to the sense sphere; there is that which pertains to the form sphere; there is that which pertains to the formless sphere; there is that which is unincluded. Thus the aggregate of feeling is sevenfold.
