[779] The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā) are: the analytic insight of meaning (attha-paṭisambhidā), the analytic insight of dhamma (dhamma-paṭisambhidā), the analytic insight of language (nirutti-paṭisambhidā), and the analytic insight of ready wit (paṭibhāṇa-paṭisambhidā).
Knowledge (ñāṇa) of the cause is the analytic insight of dhamma; knowledge of the fruit of the cause is the analytic insight of meaning; knowledge of the utterance of the language of dhamma with regard to these is the analytic insight of language; knowledge of knowledges is the analytic insight of ready wit.
