[780] The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), namely:
1. The analytic insight of consequence (attha-paṭisambhidā);
2. The analytic insight of origin (dhamma-paṭisambhidā);
3. The analytic insight of philology (nirutti-paṭisambhidā);
4. The analytic insight of ready wit (paṭibhāṇa-paṭisambhidā).
Those phenomena (dhammā) which are born, become, arisen, produced, fully produced, manifested — knowledge (ñāṇa) of these phenomena is the analytic insight of consequence. Those phenomena by which these phenomena are born, become, arisen, produced, fully produced, manifested — knowledge of those phenomena is the analytic insight of origin. Knowledge of the enunciation of the terminology of dhammas therein is the analytic insight of philology. Knowledge of knowledges is the analytic insight of ready wit.
