Abhidhammapiṭaka · Vibhaṅga · Vol. 35 · Section 791

[791] [The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā)] are roots (hetu); are accompanied by roots (sahetuka); are associated with roots (hetu-sampayutta); are both roots and accompanied by roots; are both roots and associated with roots; they should not be said to be either "not roots yet accompanied by roots" or "not roots and without roots (ahetuka)." They have conditions (sappaccaya); are conditioned (saṅkhata); are invisible (anidassana); are non-impinging (appaṭigha); are immaterial (arūpa). Three analytic insights are mundane (lokiya); the analytic insight of meaning (attha-paṭisambhidā) may be mundane, may be supramundane (lokuttara). They are cognizable by some [consciousness], and not cognizable by some.
