[81] The aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha) is twenty-fourfold: the aggregate of consciousness with eye-contact as condition (cakkhusamphassapaccayā): there is that which is wholesome; there is that which is unwholesome; there is that which is indeterminate (abyākata). With ear-contact as condition … with nose-contact as condition … with tongue-contact as condition … with body-contact as condition … with mind-contact as condition, the aggregate of consciousness: there is that which is wholesome; there is that which is unwholesome; there is that which is indeterminate. Eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) … mind-consciousness (manoviññāṇa). Thus the aggregate of consciousness is twenty-fourfold.
