[82] The aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha) is thirtyfold: The aggregate of consciousness with eye-contact as condition (cakkhusamphassapaccayā) — there is that pertaining to the sense sphere (kāmāvacara); there is that pertaining to the form sphere (rūpāvacara); there is that pertaining to the formless sphere (arūpāvacara); there is that which is unincluded (apariyāpanna). With ear-contact as condition … with nose-contact as condition … with tongue-contact as condition … with body-contact as condition … the aggregate of consciousness with mind-contact as condition — there is that pertaining to the sense sphere; there is that pertaining to the form sphere; there is that pertaining to the formless sphere; there is that which is unincluded. Eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa) … mind-consciousness (manoviññāṇa). Thus the aggregate of consciousness is thirtyfold.
