[201] Sakavādin: Does the Arahant (arahā) fall away from Arahantship (arahatta)?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: Does the Once-Returner (sakadāgāmī) fall away from the fruition of Once-Returning (sakadāgāmiphala)?
Paravādin: It should not be said thus.
Sakavādin: For whom have the more numerous defilements (kilesa) been abandoned — for the Arahant or for the Once-Returner?
Paravādin: For the Arahant.
Sakavādin: If for the Arahant the more numerous defilements have been abandoned, and the Arahant falls away from Arahantship, then indeed, sir, it must be said: "The Once-Returner falls away from the fruition of Once-Returning."
