[498] S.: Is there for the Arahant no not-knowing (aññāṇa) regarding the Teacher (satthā), no not-knowing regarding the Dhamma, no not-knowing regarding the Saṅgha, no not-knowing regarding the training (sikkhā), no not-knowing regarding the past (pubbanta), no not-knowing regarding the future (aparanta), no not-knowing regarding both the past and the future, no not-knowing regarding phenomena dependently arisen through specific conditionality (idappaccayatā-paṭiccasamuppannā dhammā)? P.: Yes. S.: If there is for the Arahant no not-knowing regarding the Teacher, no not-knowing regarding the Dhamma, no not-knowing regarding the Saṅgha … no not-knowing regarding phenomena dependently arisen through specific conditionality, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said: "The Arahant has not-knowing."
