[928] [Paravādin:] Should it not be said that "the non-returner (anāgāmī) is endowed with the three fruitions (phala)"? [Sakavādin:] Yes. [Paravādin:] But have not the three fruitions been attained by the non-returner, and has he not fallen away from them? [Sakavādin:] Yes. [Paravādin:] If the three fruitions have been attained by the non-returner and he has not fallen away from them, then indeed, sir, you should say that "the non-returner is endowed with the three fruitions."
