[1227] In whomever the latent tendency of lust for existence (bhavarāgānusaya) lies latent, does the latent tendency of ignorance (avijjānusaya) lie latent in that one? Yes. Or else, in whomever the latent tendency of ignorance lies latent, does the latent tendency of lust for existence lie latent in that one? Yes.
