[1500] For whom the latent tendency to doubt (vicikicchānusaya) has been abandoned, has the latent tendency to lust for existence (bhavarāgānusaya) … the latent tendency to ignorance (avijjānusaya) been abandoned for him? — For three persons the latent tendency to doubt has been abandoned, but for them the latent tendency to ignorance has not been abandoned; for the Arahant both the latent tendency to doubt has been abandoned and the latent tendency to ignorance has been abandoned. Or rather, for whom the latent tendency to ignorance has been abandoned, has the latent tendency to doubt been abandoned for him? — Yes (āmantā).
