[271] For whomever in whatever place the form aggregate (rūpakkhandha) has never arisen, will the feeling aggregate (vedanākkhandha) not cease for that one in that place?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) and for formless (arūpa) beings, the form aggregate has never arisen for them there; but it is not the case that the feeling aggregate will not cease for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbāna) in the Pure Abodes and for those attaining final Nibbāna in the formless realm, the form aggregate has never arisen for them there, and the feeling aggregate will not cease.
Or else, for whomever in whatever place the feeling aggregate will not cease, has the form aggregate never arisen for that one in that place?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the feeling aggregate will not cease for them there; but it is not the case that the form aggregate has never arisen for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the Pure Abodes and for those attaining final Nibbāna in the formless realm, the feeling aggregate will not cease for them there, and the form aggregate has never arisen.
