[303] "For whomever the nose base (ghānāyatana) arises, does the phenomena base (dhammāyatana) arise for that one?"
"Yes."
"Or rather, for whomever the phenomena base arises, does the nose base arise for that one?"
"For those without a nose who are being reborn, the phenomena base arises for them, but the nose base does not arise for them. For those with a nose who are being reborn, for them both the phenomena base arises and the nose base arises."
