[450] For whomever the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) arises, will the dhamma sense base (dhammāyatana) arise for that one?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose sense base arises for them, but the dhamma sense base will not arise for them. For the others, possessing the nose (saghānaka), who are being reborn, for them both the nose sense base arises and the dhamma sense base will arise.
Or, for whomever the dhamma sense base will arise, does the nose sense base arise for that one?
For all who are passing away, and for those without the nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn, the dhamma sense base will arise for them, but the nose sense base does not arise for them. For those possessing the nose who are being reborn, for them both the dhamma sense base will arise and the nose sense base arises.
